An Inauguration of the Transport Infrastructures Experimental Laboratory of DICA - Polytechnic of Milan - Italy | March 2018

An enlightening Panel Discussion “The Testing laboratory: an indispensable facility for teaching, research and construction materials analysis” took place on 16 March 2018 during the inauguration of the new headquarter of Transport Infrastructures Experimental Laboratory of DICA ( Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering ) of the Polytechnic of Milan-Italy.

Prof. M. Crispino (Polytechnic of Milan), Prof. F. Resta (Chancellor of Polytechnic of Milan) and Prof. A. Frangi (Vice Director of Dep.Eng.Civil and Environmental of Polytechnic of Milan) formally opened the proceedings and Prof. P. Coppola (Expert member of MIT), Eng. C. Eminente (Vice Director of ENAC), Eng. D. Vurro (Territorial Coordinator of North-West Area of ANAS) and Eng. A. Nardinocchi (Technical Director ITALFERR) continued with their technical presentations.

Prof. L. Domenichini (Vice Director of ASIT) followed with an explanation of the initiative of ASIT NetLab, Eng. E. Mariani (Equipment, testing and safety Manager of the Experimental Laboratory of Transports Infrastructure of Polytechnic of Milan) gave a descriptive overview of the equipment available in the Laboratory and Prof. E. Toraldo (Scientific Manager of the Experimental Laboratory of Transports Infrastructure of Polytechnic of Milan) introduced the main activities and the works in progress in the Laboratory.

The event continued with the inauguration and visit of the new Laboratory headquarters.
