General description
These two lines of balances have been selected to satisfy the requirements of either field or central testing laboratories.
All models in the first table here below feature:
  • Mains and rechargeable battery operated (battery pack included)
  • Under balance weighing facility (for models from 520 g up to 30 kg, hook included)
  • RS 232 serial port
  • Supplied complete with Traceable Calibration Certificate
The models in the second table here below feature:
  • Mains and rechargeable battery operated (battery pack included)
  • Under balance weighing facility (for models 10 kg and 24 kg, hook included)
  • RS 232 serial port
  • Supplied complete with DKD certificate (Deutscher Kalibrierdienst-German Accreditation Authority)

Additional Information

How to select balances
Where not specified by the relevant standards, the table given below may be used to select the appropriate balance conforming to the general specification for balances given in the ASTM D4753-95, EN 932-5 and BS 1377:1. Very often a single specification requires balances having a readability and tolerance of 0.1% of the specimen mass to be measured which is another suitable choice criteria. Other standards covering aggregates and granular materials in general give information about the quantity of aggregate to be tested depending upon its size. We have included this information in a separate table.
